The Compression Problem
You take a beautiful 12-megapixel photo. You send it through a messaging app or upload to social media. By the time it reaches your family, it has been compressed to a fraction of its original quality.
What Happens Elsewhere
- iMessage: Compressed to ~1MB
- WhatsApp: Compressed to ~100KB
- Facebook: Compressed to ~250KB
- Instagram: Compressed to ~500KB
- Result: Blurry, grainy prints
What Happens with eCards Photos
- All users: Up to 5MB per photo
- Free: 3 photos per card
- Card Pack: 15 photos per card
- Kept at the size you uploaded, up to 5MB
- Result: Perfect prints every time

Complete Guide
Real stories from real senders
It was delightful to receive these photos of a very special trip. I was able to download all the photos and even the card to make an album.. Plus all the photos are print quality.
It was easy
I've used these cards many times. It's so convenient and easy to send one with many pictures instead of just sending pictures in a text. I know that seeing a card makes people smile and brightens their days. I love this site and I highly recommend.
Common Questions
What resolution are the downloaded photos?
Photos download at their original resolution — exactly as you uploaded them. Everyone gets up to 5MB per photo for true print-quality images. A Card Pack adds more photos per card (15 vs 3).
Can they print photos from their home printer?
Absolutely! Photos download at original resolution (up to 5MB). Print beautiful 4x6, 5x7, or 8x10 prints from any home photo printer — no trip needed. Or take them to any pharmacy or photo shop.
What about digital photo frames?
Yes! Recipients can download photos and email them directly to WiFi photo frames like Skylight, Aura, or Pix-Star. Photos appear on the frame automatically.
Do photos get compressed when I upload them?
We keep your photo at the size you uploaded, up to 5MB — anything larger is optimised down to fit that cap before it uploads. Unlike social media or messaging apps that heavily compress images, your photos stay crisp and print-ready.
Can I send photos that are good enough for large prints?
Yes! Everyone can upload photos up to 5MB each — easily enough for a sharp 8x10. Photos bigger than 5MB are optimised to fit that cap before they upload.
How do recipients download the photos?
They open a photo full screen and tap the download button on it. That saves that photo to their device at the size you uploaded — one photo per tap.
Is there a limit on how many times a card can be downloaded?
To ensure cards remain available for their intended recipients, there are download limits. Free cards allow 100 total downloads, Card Pack cards allow 500. Once downloaded, recipients can keep and view their copy forever offline.
Send Photos Worth Printing
Stop sending compressed photos that look terrible when printed. Create a card with full-quality downloads your family can actually frame.
